Paper Submission Details
The GeoSt.John's 2019 abstract submission phase is now complete and corresponding authors have been advised of their submission's acceptance. Over 435 abstracts were received and almost all were selected to move on to the technical paper submission phase. The titles and corresponding authors of accepted abstracts are posted at http://www.geostjohns2019.ca/abstracts-accepted.php?lang=en.
Complete technical papers must be submitted by May 15, 2019 using the online submission feature available at http://www.geostjohns2019.ca/abstract-submission.php?lang=en. Corresponding authors (or presenting authors when not the corresponding author) must register as conference delegates to launch the paper submission link in a corresponding author's account – the online delegate registration and payment system will be functional by the end of February 2019.
The Author's Release, Declaration and Understanding has been incorporated into the online submission process – all corresponding authors must select "Yes" in the Copyright Permission field or the paper will not be uploaded to the site.
The GeoSt.John's 2019 Technical Committee will review all papers for clarity, technical merit and relevance to the conference. Our goal is to inform corresponding authors of their paper's acceptance by June 28, 2019. In cases where the reviewing team feels revisions are necessary, online comments will be provided with revised papers being due by July 15, 2019.
All accepted papers, for which at least one author has registered for the conference, will appear in the published proceedings of the conference – each registrant will receive a digital version as part of their delegate registration.
To help authors ensure their paper meets the conference's presentation requirements, a Technical Paper Template/Guideline has been prepared. All authors must use this template and follow the guidelines to help ensure presentation uniformity in the conference proceedings – submissions that do not follow the prescribed formatting guidelines will be returned. Please take particular note of the abstract word count and page limits.
Final decisions regarding the presentation format and assigned session for approved papers will rest with the Technical Committee. GeoSt.John's 2019 will include a poster session with dedicated time in the conference program. Authors can indicate their preference for oral or poster presentation when they submit their paper.
Questions regarding the paper review process, sessions and the technical program should be directed to the GeoSt.John's 2019 Technical Committee at email@example.com.
